Search for one reference at a time

By entering simply ref , one starts an interactive programme which asks first the data type for which references are desired and then the reference number.

If one wishes another reference, one shall answer the question "Another reference?" with the new reference number. The order of the references does not matter.

The answer "0" terminates the interrogation, while a negative answer (e.g. -1) is used to choose another data type and start again. A negative answer may also be used to get help because the programme will display a list of the allowed data types.
