The documentation of the database, and on-line help of the various query
modes are localized in several directories. The distribution is not
really exclusive and will be improved when the query programs will be
more definite.
- bda/introduction contains the user's guide and installation
pages;
- bda/descri contains documentation files used by the dsc
and doc menus;
- bda/html contains the hypertext version of the user's guide
and the command description for use with NCSA Mosaic;
- bda/emploi contains the command description for line mode;
- bda/man contains man pages for BDA commands and menus which can
be displayed with the Unix command man. This directory is subdivided
in two subdirectories: man1 and man3;
- bda/manuel contains the French manual files corresponding to
the command mnl;
- bda/help contains help information for various programs;
- bda/xhelp contains the text of the on-line help provided
with graphical user interface
- bda/dictionnaire contains files that describes the record
structure of the data file;
- bda/information contains files with technical information on
the data;
- bda/contenu contains the files collecting the database content
summary for each datatype.
