Search by author's name or text string

Selections according to an author's name or a text string are also possible, although the information text is pretty much condensed and abbreviated.

By using the syntax

bdp -s string

one will select the bibliographic lines that contain the given string, which may be either an author's name or a specific string.

The command bdp is not case sensitive. The names and text in the file are mostly in upper case.

Example:

bdp -s Hoag selects the lines referring to Hoag
